Summer is only a few short months away and there are so many activities that can be done outside to give kiddies a summer to remember.
It doesn’t matter if you have acres of back yard or a tiny courtyard, there is plenty to do.
Everyone loves playing with water and it is a cheap way of entertaining.
Grab a couple of buckets and containers of different sizes along with some utensils.
Fill up a couple of the buckets and then leave the kids to pour, mix and splash around.
For a bit of added excitement give them some rice, glitter or sand to create even more.
If you are brave enough you could even add food colouring to the water.
Picnic at the Park
If you have a local park pack up a picnic with finger foods and head out for the day.
Take along some balls, shovels and bikes.
This will not long get you out of the house for a few hours, it will also wear the kiddies out and hopefully mean going to bed on time 😉
If you don’t already have a veggie patch gather some supplies and get creating.
Teaching the children about the different veggies they can grow in their own backyard is exciting. Let them help dig the holes and place the seeds or plants.
Let them go out each morning to water the garden and watch the veggies grow.
If you have little ones who love playing with toy cars then this is perfect for them.
Set up a race track around your backyard with obstacles and crash zones.
Let them loose with a set of cars and watch the adventures unfold.
So grab a hat, sunscreen and some water and head on outside.
Remember to plan well and not head out in the middle of the day when the sun is at its hottest, the last thing you need or want is to end up with heat stroke while having your outdoors fun.
Until next time
